Reading Time: 2 mins read

The next generation of Bergen County real estate is here. The Bergen County Young Professionals Network (YPN) recently celebrated its second anniversary at TD Bank in Englewood, N.J. Industry leaders including REALTOR® Road Warrior, Shannon King; Allan Dalton, one of the National Association of Realtors® 25 most influential thought leaders and past President of REALTOR.com; and New Jersey Delaware Council of Residential Specialists Chapter President, Richard Bradford, joined local REALTORS® in honoring the achievements of the Bergen County YPN.

The Bergen County YPN was launched by the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS (EBCBOR) on April 21, 2010 to help new REALTORS® foster strong industry relationships and expand their expertise. As one of the first chapters in New Jersey, the Bergen County YPN was organized by EBCBOR members Michael Oppler, Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty- Hillsdale; Allegra House, Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty-Fort Lee; and Jorge Ledesma, RE/MAX Quality Homes.

According to EBCBOR President, Eileen O’Driscoll, , “It is important to recognize young professionals as the future of the real estate industry. The Bergen County YPN provides new REALTORS in our area with modern ways to propel their careers. The YPN events help REALTORS enhance their business knowledge and network.”

The Bergen County YPN serves a growing group of career-minded real estate professionals who are active in community service, educated on the latest technology and industry practices, and connected to fellow REALTORS and industry leaders. For two years, the Bergen County YPN has successfully held networking workshops which increased opportunities for the next generation of agents through unique events such as- “Appy Hour” based on real estate related apps for smart phones and “Tweet & Greet” based on the creative uses of Twitter for real estate business.
