NAR Increases Member Engagement with MVP

Realtor_female_with_keysAs The Voice for Real Estate®, the National Association of REALTORS® is America’s largest trade association, representing more than 1 million members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry. With its core purpose to help its members become more profitable and successful, NAR brokers and their agents have access to a wide array of benefits, business tools, real estate market data, educational opportunities and discount programs designed to help them succeed in today’s market Now, thanks to its Member Value Plus (MVP) program, it is even easier for REALTORS® to take advantage of all the incredible benefits they receive as a member of NAR.

Introduced in April 2012, the MVP program encourages members to take actions that will benefit both members as well as NAR, while rewarding brokers and their agents for being active participants in their Association. In other words, active involvement is the best way to maximize NAR membership, as well as the best way to make members and the Association more successful. Members who take the most active role are rewarded with resources that can continue to strengthen their own business.

MVP Participation Is Simple

Showcasing items that NAR has to offer its members, every two weeks on the 1st and the 16th of every month, a new MVP offer is posted at mvp.REALTOR.org. These offers include such “Actions” as subscribing to the MVP Program newsletter, customizing REALTOR.org, taking a survey, commenting on the NAR Commercial blog or taking the Resort & Second Home Markets course on REALTOR® University. By simply completing the specified “Action” within the two-week timeframe, REALTORS® receive a code and instructions via email to redeem their specified “Reward” from the REALTOR.org/Store.

MVP Participation Is Rewarding

With tens of thousands of REALTORS® already benefitting from the MVP program, brokers and agents receive valuable, timely rewards that range from free and discounted products, including free e-products to Amazon and Apple gift cards to discounts on NAR event registrations. MVP Rewards provide instant gratification and are business relevant. For example, the popular Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers ePublication “Reward” can be used in listing presentations, while the Social Media for REALTORS®: Blogging “Reward” can help members start and promote their own blogs.

Member Value Adds Up

NAR has made it easy for its members to stay on top of current MVP offers and track their value. REALTORS® can visit the MVP site regularly and can also subscribe to an electronic newsletter, which announces the next MVP offer the day before it is available. Participating brokers and agents can also see the “Actions” they have taken, along with the monetary value of the “Rewards” they have earned and redeemed. Simply go to your account page on REALTOR.org and open “My MVP Program.”

NAR encourages you to be an MVP—subscribe to the newsletter and share this valuable program with your agents.
