Coldwell Banker Prime Properties Replaces Traditional Offices With Modern ‘Cafe Concept’ Meeting Spaces

RISMEDIA (July 25, 2013)—Coldwell Banker Prime Properties has replaced two of its 15 real estate branch offices with modern, technology-rich meeting centers. Furnished in a café style décor, the new office designs feature private conference rooms and open workspaces which surround a centralized and spacious floor plan. The offices have been designed with a focus on providing a comfortable meeting space, while also providing easy access to technology for both agents and customers. Each office includes several 70-inch wall-mounted digital displays, free high speed WiFi access for clients, advanced communication systems, touchscreen mobile computer workstations and mobile tablets for agents.

“Real Estate has become much more mobile,” said Mary Huls, corporate operations manager. “Sales associates are conducting business on the move, making themselves available to serve their clients, where and when it is convenient for the client. They don’t need to be limited to their desks anymore. The days of the impersonal office space full of crowded cubicles are coming to an end.”

The offices that have been upgraded to what Coldwell Banker Prime Properties calls its “Café Concept” locations include the East Greenbush office, located at 274 Troy Road in the Mavis Plaza on Rt. 4 in North Greenbush, and the Utica office, located at 4848 Commercial Drive in the Verizon Plaza in New Hartford.

With Coldwell Banker Prime Properties’ online file storage capabilities and digital signature service, sales associates are able to gather signatures and file documents directly from their portable computers and tablets, thus eliminating the need for paper storage. The innovative floor plan of the offices also results in significantly lower energy consumption.

“We wanted to create an office environment that was more capable of meeting the needs of our sales associates and their customers,” said Huls. “These first two ‘Café Concept’ offices represent the beginning of a company-wide move towards an office standard that’s improving the real estate experience for our clients, customers and sales associates.”
