(MCT)–Mariah Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon, popped their Bel-Air home back on the market at $12.995 million after a hiatus of more than a month.
This time around they are working with a listing agent who has been around the block, specifically their block, several times.
Farrah Fawcett hired agent Paul Czako to sell the then-five-bedroom home in 1999 for close to $2.7 million, according to Times archives. The former “Charlie’s Angels” star had owned the 3-acre property for more than 20 years.
Her buyer, recording studio executive Allen Sides, had Czako sell the rebuilt and expanded house when Carey and Cannon bought it five years ago for $6.975 million.
The gated estate has a Hamptons-vibe traditional mansion with high ceilings, wood floors and French doors. The 13,000 square feet of renovated interior space include a music studio, a basketball court, a gym, a home theater, seven fireplaces, seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. An enormous hall for entertaining has room for several hundred guests.
The grounds include a putting green, a swimming pool, a spa, parking for more than 20 vehicles and room for a tennis court. There are canyon, city, mountain and ocean views.
Singer-superstar Carey has received five Grammy Awards. Among her achievements are her award-winning album “The Emancipation of Mimi” and recognition as best new artist in 1990.
Cannon has written for several television shows bearing his name as well as “Incredible Crew” (2012-13). He has hosted his own shows and “America’s Got Talent” (2009-13).
