Prudential Select Properties, a provider of residential real estate services to the Greater St. Louis region, recently announced the launch of Select Leasing and Management. The property management and leasing service is designed to provide more incentives to clients to lease their home by providing them with a dedicated property management specialist to ensure the client’s home is looked after in a professional manner.

Joe Kelso will serve as the Leasing and Management director. Kelso has been rehabbing and managing single-family since 2008. His experience gives him an expert’s knowledge of the leasing and property management business.

“It is our goal to provide the best property management service in the area,” Kelso said. “Our agents and clients are very important, and we want to do everything we can to make sure their homes are looked after properly.”

The initiative will offer an array of both property management and leasing services to property owners.

Property management services include move-in and move-out inspections, rent collection, maintenance requests, 24/7 online portal access for owners and tenants, cleaning prior to new occupancy, and professional property accounting. For clients wishing to lease, the program provides pre-work, marketing and tenant-finding services. It also takes care of application reviews and background screenings, paperwork and handles the final steps to ensure a tenant is qualified to rent.

“More homeowners are viewing leasing as a necessary alternative as they plan to move out of their homes,” said Prudential Select Properties President and CEO Maryann Vitale. “Select Leasing and Management will be an ideal solution for sellers who may be struggling to make the difficult decision to sell or rent their home.”

Formed in 2002, Prudential Select Properties has 11 offices in the St. Louis Metropolitan area, representing over 500 agents. They specialize in St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles, Jefferson County and Lincoln County real estate, and they strive to find their customers the best homes for sale in the Greater St. Louis area. Prudential Select Properties has also been named the 16th-Largest Female-Owned Business in the Greater St. Louis Region.

Prudential Select Properties ranks as the No. 1 locally-owned real estate firm in St. Louis and also ranks No. 26 in the Prudential Real Estate Services national network, No. 2 in real estate transactions recorded by the St. Louis Association of Realtors, No. 2 in the St. Louis Business

Journal’s list of largest residential real estate agencies by sales volume closed locally in 2013 and is in the top 20 percent of real estate firms nationwide.

In June, Prudential Select Properties will be converting to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties. The network is among only a few organizations entrusted to use the world-renowned Berkshire Hathaway name.
