J. Rockcliff REALTORS®, a leading residential real estate company in the San Francisco East Bay, has announced that Jeff Sposito, the company’s founder and president, has been named as an honorary Director for Life by the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.).  Director for Life is one of the most prestigious awards that the organization bestows, and Sposito is one of only three honorees out of more than 100 nominees to receive the award this year.

According to the company, honorees of the Director for Life award are required to demonstrate many years of outstanding performance and dedicated service to the Association, including at least 10 years of active service to C.A.R. and at least five years as a C.A.R. director. Sposito’s induction to this elite list of ‘Directors for Life’ was celebrated at the C.A.R. Board of Directors meeting in Sacramento on May 3, 2014 with more than 1,000 directors in attendance.

“I’m humbled beyond measure,” says Sposito.  “I have spent many years working with C.A.R. to ensure that home buyers and sellers, as well as Realtors, are represented appropriately and fairly in a systemic way. It has always been because I am passionate about this business that I immerse myself in the process of making it even better. To be honored by my peers for doing what I love to do is really quite astounding.”

Sposito began his career as a top producing agent and quickly escalated into prominent management and ownership positions with top real estate companies. Over the more than three decade span of his career, Sposito has won numerous awards for productivity, leadership and business savvy.  He is currently a director for C.A.R. and is also a director of the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R.). He has served as president of the Bay East Association of Realtors as well as president of the Contra Costa Association of Realtors (C.C.A.R.).

Sposito has spoken in front of the Federal Reserve Board regarding key issues within the real estate industry and has been the key note speaker at myriad industry seminars and conventions.   Dedicated to continuing education and with a keen eye for the needs of J. Rockcliff clients and agents, Sposito has also earned numerous industry designations including CRB (Certified Residential Broker), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and Eco-Broker.

Sposito makes his home in Danville with his wife Teresa. They have two grown sons; Shane, a pilot in the United States Army, and Jeffrey, who lives with his family in Montana.
