Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC recently announced the promotion of Sean Blankenship to chief marketing officer from his prior role as senior vice president of marketing for the firm. In this expanded role, Blankenship is responsible for the development and expansion of the Coldwell Banker® global brand architecture, including the luxury home program Coldwell Banker Previews International. He will continue to oversee the brand’s holistic marketing platform, which includes advertising, media, public relations, product development, promotions and marketing communications.

“Sean has more than 24 years of experience in shaping brands and telling their stories,” says Budge Huskey, chief executive officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. “His experience in creating digital experiences has been the driving force behind the successful launch of the new Coldwell Banker Real Estate digital platform, and we look forward to continued innovation under his leadership.”

Since joining the company in 2013, Blankenship has helped re-envision the real estate business by pushing the brand to create exceptional experiences for consumers and agents.  And with the 2014 “Home Sweet Home” campaign featuring rock band Motley Crue, he is reshaping the brand’s voice.  The most recent of which was the November launch of the new Coldwell Banker Real Estate digital platform designed to connect buyers, sellers and agents like never before by empowering sellers to actively participate in marketing their home.

“My passion has always been the intersection of storytelling and technology,” says Blankenship. “Coldwell Banker Real Estate was the first, original real estate start-up coming out of Silicon Valley, and I’m excited to add even more swagger to the brand by helping to create exceptional experiences for our buyers and sellers.”

Before joining Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Blankenship spent most of his career in the automotive industry, leading digital and marketing initiatives for brands like Nissan and Toyota. He holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Fullerton, earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix and is a licensed real estate sales professional.
