Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, the original San Francisco Bay area real estate start-up founded in 1906, has announced its 2014 year-end award recipients in numerous company, office and affiliated agent categories.

The award winners were announced through a video, which was unveiled to the Coldwell Banker® system just days before the debut of “Home’s Best Friend” TV commercial on the 87th annual Academy Awards.
Highlights of the 2014 Coldwell Banker awards are:
The Jills®, No. 1 Agent Team in Sales Volume: Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber, the top-producing team of agents affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Miami Beach, Fla., closed 106 units in 2014 resulting in $504.6 millionin volume. The Jills have ranked as the No. 1 Coldwell Banker agent team worldwide for four consecutive years and closed more than $1 billion in volume over the last two years, making this another record-breaking year.
Chris Cortazzo, No. 1 Agent in Sales Volume:Chris Cortazzo, an independent contractor sales professional with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Malibu, Calif., closed 37 units in 2014, which totaled $307.1 million in volume. This is the second consecutive year that Cortazzo has ranked No. 1 in this category and the sixth time in the last eight years. Cortazzo also captured the No. 1 rank in the brand’s first individual rental income award category.
The Jim Allen Group, No. 1 Agent Team in Closed Units: Leading team The Jim Allen Group, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston in Raleigh, N.C., closed 817 units in 2014. Led by Jim Allen, the team has been the Coldwell Banker brand’s top-producing team in closed units for the last three years.
Frank DeNovi, No. 1 Agent in Closed Units: Frank DeNovi, an independent contractor sales professional with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Arlington Heights, Ill., closed 324 units in 2014. DeNovi’s record-breaking year landed him in the top spot for closed units for the first time. DeNovi has continuously ranked in the top 10 over the last three years.

Coldwell Banker Chandler Barton Spirit Award Recipient:Laurent Demeure, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker France & Monaco. Demeure’s business expertise turned economic challenges into opportunities for growth as he managed to make the Coldwell Banker brand one of the fastest growing real estate organizations in France.
Honoring Chandler Barton, president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate from 1989 to 1996, this award recognizes a “can do” attitude and ongoing legacy that leaves a lasting impression on the Coldwell Banker system through leadership, vision and engaging personality.
Coldwell Banker Preserving the Trust Award Recipient:Richard Smith, owner of Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® in Texas, Florida and the Carolinas. Smith was cited for personal dedication to expanding the presence of Coldwell Banker across the Southeast. Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® has more than 2,000 affiliated agents and more than 70 offices serving customers across the Southern region from Texas to Florida and up throughout the Carolinas.
The Preserving the Trust Award honors a member of the Coldwell Banker network who has consistently and successfully exemplified the heritage of high standards, trust, loyalty and customer service throughout their affiliation with Coldwell Banker.
Coldwell Banker Hero of the Year Award Recipient:William and Kathryn “Tiki” McIntyre, independent contractor sales professionals with Coldwell Banker TEC, REALTORS® in New Orleans, La. The McIntyres created “NOLA Loves the Philippines,” a disaster relief fundraiser event for the victims of Super-Typhoon Haiyan that struck the Philippines in November 2013. Their activities raised $75,000, which was used to buy 100 fishing boats, creating a boat co-op for the residents of Estancia in the Philippines.
This award is presented to an individual, office or company affiliated with the Coldwell Banker brand who strengthens their community through charitable efforts. Since the program’s inception brokers, sales associates and staff affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Heroes program, the Coldwell Banker brand’s charitable recognition program, have donated $14.1 million to local charities.
