August 31, 2015
Reading Time: 3 mins read

Engel & Völkers recently announced the opening of its first shop in Charlotte, bringing the firm’s comprehensive global services to real estate buyers and sellers of the region. The opening comes with the union between the storied international brokerage and Carolinas Metro Realty, a full-service real estate and property management firm serving Charlotte and the surrounding communities.

Engel & Völkers celebrated the grand opening of the South Charlotte shop with an exclusive ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration. The event was hosted at the newly designed shop, located in Ballantyne at 11220 Elm Lane, and was attended by over 200 guests from across the country. The event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by top Engel & Völkers representatives, followed by speeches from both Yuriy Vaynshteyn, owner of Engel & Völkers South Charlotte, and Anthony Hitt, CEO of Engel & Völkers North America.

“The grand opening of Engel & Völkers South Charlotte celebrates a valuable addition to our North American network of shops, as the new shop is situated in an ideal region to expand Engel & Völkers’ Southern footprint,” says Hitt. “Yuriy and Frances’ knowledge of the local marketplace coupled with Engel & Völkers’ renowned level of exclusivity and international platform will best serve the comprehensive needs of Charlotte’s real estate buyers and sellers.”

Yuriy Vaynshteyn, a 25-year Charlotte resident, is the owner and Frances Bryant, a lifelong Charlottean, is the managing broker of the new shop. The duo has additional openings in Lake Norman, South Park and Uptown slated to launch in the next 12 months. The new shop will bring 31 agents to Engel & Völkers South Charlotte, further solidifying the firm’s presence in the dynamic Charlotte marketplace.

“With a truly booming real estate marketplace, Charlotte is experiencing increased demand for quality service from buyers and sellers drawn in from around the world,” says Vaynshteyn. “Engel & Völkers best aligns with our client-centric culture and will provide access to a global network necessary to best meet the real estate needs of this range of clientele.”

Engel & Völkers South Charlotte will provide leading services for buyers and sellers of premier properties in the Charlotte MSA, including the towns of Mooresville, Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius, Matthews, Pineville, Waxhaw and Weddington in North Carolina and Rock Hill and Fort Mill in South Carolina. Charlotte is emerging as a key residential destination for both local and foreign buyers as it offers a diverse range of cultural, restaurant and retail offerings, low cost of living and beautiful lakefront landscapes, gaining the attention of global buyers and a growing population of millennials, who are increasingly attracted to Uptown Charlotte. In addition, buyers are also drawn to the area as one of the nation’s key centers for Fortune 500 headquarters, including Bank of America, Lowe’s, Duke Energy, Nucor, Sonic Automotive and Domtar.

“With significant cultural activities, notable restaurants, family-oriented lifestyle offerings, access to a large international airport and renowned quality of life, Charlotte is truly a large city with small city charm,” says Bryant. “Engel & Völkers will provide the modern tools and services necessary to ensure Charlotte’s local and foreign buyers and sellers of premier properties receive the highest possible level of service.”

With the opening of shops in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Beverly Hills, St. George, Long Beach, LA – South Bay, Minneapolis and Concord and, in Canada, Victoria, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver Island, Toronto and York, Engel & Völkers continues to strengthen its presence in the premium real estate market across North America. Additionally, Engel & Völkers continues to expand throughout the United States with planned openings in several new markets.
