RISMedia Announces Agenda for 2018 Real Estate CEO Exchange – See Who’s Headlining

The time for if/then, wait-and-see and “cross that bridge when we get to it” has passed. Speculating and second guessing is no longer enough, because change is upon us. Whether it’s Amazon’s latest play, tax legislation loopholes, deep-pocketed competitors, cryptocurrency and cloud technology, or unforeseen natural disasters, the ground beneath traditional real estate is shaking. The question is, will your business withstand the tremors?

These are just some of the topics to be discussed at RISMedia’s 2018 Real Estate CEO Exchange, “Ready, Set, Now: The New Real Estate Reality,” to be held this September 5 & 6 at the prestigious Harvard Club of New York City.

RISMedia’s Real Estate CEO Exchange will welcome more than 225 of the most powerful and successful real estate leaders who hail from franchise brands and independent real estate firms from across the nation. These leaders will come together for this day-and-a-half-long event to exchange ideas and strategies to better meet the needs of today’s sophisticated consumer.

Among the sessions and speakers just announced by RISMedia for this year’s CEO Exchange are:

Opening Address: The State of the Real Estate Union
Keynote Speaker: Paul Boomsma, President and Chief Executive Officer, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®

RISMedia’s Real Estate CEO Exchange will kick off with a candid look at the “state of real estate” in an opening address from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Boomsma. From economic indicators to new technological innovations, the real estate market is influenced by a wide range of events. From his vantage point as leader of a network of more than 565 top, independent firms from around the globe, Boomsma will take a look at the most significant trends and issues currently impacting real estate and its consumers, underscoring both the challenges and opportunities presented for brokers and their agents.

The Agent Challenge: Quality vs. Quantity
In today’s increasingly competitive marketplace, where new business models and enticing commission structures tend to lure agents away, brokers are confronted with more challenges than ever when it comes to recruiting and retention. In this session, hear creative strategies for finding new talent, increasing per-agent productivity and strengthening your value proposition to have not just the most agents, but the right agents.

Moderator:
Verl Workman
, Founder & CEO, Workman Success Systems

Panelists:
Deidre O’Connell,
Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s
Mike Huff,
Broker/Owner, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties
Marc Gould,
Senior Vice President, Member Development, National Association of REALTORS®; Executive Director, Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC)
James Dwiggins, Chief Executive Officer, NextHome, Inc.

Disruption vs. Innovation: What’s the Difference?
Whether it’s well-funded, brand new entrants to residential real estate or a new strategy or business model from a traditional player, the brokerage business is changing. In this session, we go one-on-one with some of real estate’s so-called ‘disruptors’ to find out who they are, how they operate, the progress they’re making and whether their end-game is really disruption or simply much needed innovation.

Moderators:
John Featherston, President & Chief Executive Officer , RISMedia
Joe Rand,
Chief Creative Officer, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty
