Dedicated to excellence and growth, several of European-based premium real estate brand, Engel & Völkers’ shops, showed their devotion to improving the lives of disadvantaged children with the help of Safety Harbor Kids. The Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Rancho Santa Fe, and Solana Beach E&V teams joined other big names, such as Tesla, in sponsoring the 8th Annual SHK Polo Classic.
Founded by John Williams, who was left parentless at the age of nine, the Malibu based non-profit organization aims to enrich the lives of local orphans, foster, and homeless children through an array of educational and personal growth programs. Ranging from career development to music and arts education, the opportunities offered through Safety Harbor Kids teaches its children how to lead happy and successful lives.
“Every child deserves a chance at greatness and sometimes all they need is a small push in the right direction,” says Raphael Barragan, CEO of Engel & Völkers Beverly Hills and strong believer in SHK’s mission. “As a father and as a leader at E&V, I see first hand how beneficial encouragement and the right tools can be in a person’s success.” Engel & Völkers is constantly working to enhance its abilities as a company, while offering its team members the necessary education, technology, and mentorship for excelling individually as well.
The event was held on September 12 at the Will Rogers Polo Grounds in the Pacific Palisades. Dressed in white and boasting their best hats, guests enjoyed a warm Saturday afternoon of music, gourmet food and drinks, auctions, polo matches, and a live performance by Grammy award winner, Peter Asher. Other notable attendees included actor John Savage and reality star Caitlyn Jenner.
