Long & Foster Honored as a Top Workplace in Delaware

Long & Foster Real Estate has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by the Delaware News Journal. The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by the News Journal’s research partner Energage, a provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

“I am extremely proud of our team and honored that we have once again been named one of Delaware’s Top Workplaces,” said Ron Clarke, senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster in Delaware. “At Long & Foster, we work diligently to provide our agents and employees with the resources, tools and training they need to succeed in real estate, and receiving this honor validates our success in those efforts.”

The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, and the News Journal recognized 60 companies in three categories, ranging by the organization’s size. Long & Foster earned honors in the Top Workplaces large companies category, which recognizes businesses with over 400 employees, and it received a special award for its exemplary training.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Long & Foster was also named one of Delaware’s top firms in 2017, and it has been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in other areas in which it operates, including Richmond, Virginia.

“It’s credit to our talented real estate agents and employees that we have once again been recognized as a Top Workplace in Delaware,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “For 50 years, our associates have helped buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals by being the most knowledgeable in the markets they serve, providing the highest level of customer service and having the latest technology at their fingertips, and it’s these efforts that enable us to remain the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
