Reach Out to Clients This Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! Although your day is probably busier than a typical Sunday, try your best to carve out some time to reach out to your clients today. As you’re likely well aware, major holidays are some of the best times to garner referrals.

Whether through a thoughtful card personalized to each of your former and current clients or an online contest you’re running through one of your social media accounts, now is an excellent time to make connections with potential clients. Here are some fun Valentine’s Day ideas:

Send a Valentine’s Day email. Unless you intend to drop off handwritten cards to your clients along with some goodies, it’s too late now to send out a mailer. If you’re strapped for time or funds, a mass email is a great way to still touch each of your clients and remind them that you’re thinking of them this Valentine’s Day. Of course, this should be filed under the “bare minimum” category, but it’s still a tried-and-true way to increase your leads.

Hand out chocolate and other goodies. If you can safely hand out candies this year, by all means do it! Of course, keep social distancing guidelines in mind if you plan on hand delivering anything, but a small goodie bag filled with treats and with your branding is one of the best ways to remind your former clients that you’re still very much active in their area.

Hold an online contest. Like an email blast, this is another COVID-safe means of connecting with your clients that involves zero face-to-face interactions. However, an online contest is usually more fun than opening an email and it serves the dual purpose of increasing your social media presence. You don’t have to go overboard with a social media contest either; have people guess the number of heart-shaped candies in a jar and use a gift card to a local business as the prize!

Agents, what are some other ways you’re reaching out to clients and garnering new leads this Valentine’s Day?
