George C. Jalil is managing broker and president of Real Living First Service Realty in Miami, Fla.
Jalil is chairman of the board of the MIAMI Association of REALTORS®, which has 46,000 members across four counties in South Florida. In 2017, MIAMI adopted the Changing Communities Initiative, a community involvement program. Through the initiative, Jalil and MIAMI have hosted two dinners for homeless residents, including one in June 2018 with the Chapman Partnership, a collaborative that helps the homeless in Downtown Miami and Homestead, a Miami suburb. The dinner fed 500 homeless residents.
“MIAMI takes great pride in helping and improving our beautiful community,” says Jalil. “We hope our volunteerism at Chapman Partnership will, in some small way, ease the plight of the homeless and inspire others to support the Chapman Partnership.”
Along with the dinner in June, members of MIAMI toured Chapman Partnership’s Downtown Miami Homeless Assistance Center, assisting the elderly and getting to know the homeless residents. Chapman Partnership assists 5,000 homeless residents each year.
In addition to chairman of the board of MIAMI, Jalil is a director for Florida Realtors® and member of the Florida Realtors® Honor Society.
