Training & Business Development: How to Start Your Career on a Shoestring

October 16, 2007, 12 pm
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Oct. 17, 2007-Amy Hall realized just how much she loved real estate in a rather unusual setting: it was when she found herself in the hospital with a ruptured appendix. While recuperating, over 90% of Hall’s clients came to visit her as she continued to manage and execute deals from her hospital bed. To crown the experience, Hall made more money on the day of her surgery than the entire previous year. That day she knew she had found her calling.

Although she has rapidly gained success and now seems as if she was born for the real estate industry, Hall’s career background was about as far from real estate as one could get. Shortly before she made her first steps into the industry, she was one of the few female Army Drill Instructors selected to help inmates acclimate to prison life at Metro State Prison. Training and discipline were crucial elements of her background in law enforcement, qualities that she attributes to helping her achieve success in real estate so quickly.

However, one of the more compelling elements of Hall’s story comes down to simple dollars and cents; in fact Hall herself jokes that after dabbling in property management and deciding to take the plunge into real estate full time, when she got her license in 2004 “I was completely broke!” she laughs.

Shortly thereafter, she started closing deal after deal, and by the end of her first year she’d grossed over $4 million in sales. With no money for advertising or branding, Hall had to use creative means to get her name out; and in fact she admits that for the first four deals she closed, she didn’t spend a single dime on advertising.

Hall shares her ingenious ideas for starting a real estate business with virtually no financial investment in this week’s iSucceed/RISMedia Business Development and Training call “No Money Down! – How to Start Your Real Estate Career on a Shoestring.”

Hosted by iSucceed’s own Kelly Kelley, the interview will be available for one week only at www.isucceed.com/rismedia. In this inspiring call, Hall will describe the simple but brilliant and completely free method she used to find her first clients, what particular type of property she focused on to instantly attract a variety of buyers, and what strategies she used to achieve success her first few years in the business.

From the day she obtained her real estate license in 2004, Atlanta, Georgia native Amy Hall has immersed herself in the real estate industry and has steadily advanced, winning awards and recognition each year for her continued successes. Hall honed her skills first representing Investors, First Time Home Buyers, and working with HUD homes, and remains an expert in those areas. Having expanded her business over the years, Hall recently hired 2 team members and is pursuing her broker’s license. Specializing in elegant homes, Hall is a firm negotiator, skilled communicator, and gives 110% to every client she works with.

Every Wednesday the RIS Media/iSucceed Business Development and Training Call presents profitable real estate strategies and introduces agents across the country to the full 30-minute iSucceed Weekly Counseling Call, available only at www.iSucceed.com – the most comprehensive online provider of real estate tips, tools, secrets and success strategies, directly from North America’s 200 most successful real estate professionals.
