RISMEDIA, June 27, 2008-You ask. They answer. The Ask This Old House crew is back on the road helping hundreds of homeowners nationwide.

Not sure how to tackle a real-life home maintenance problem? Need guidance on how to do the job right? Tune in to 26 all new episodes of Ask This Old House premiering nationally on PBS Thursday, October 2 (check www.thisoldhouse.com/tvschedule or your local listings).

The seventh season includes House calls in Nashville, Chicago, Indianapolis, Charleston, Hartford, Salt Lake City, and San Diego, as well as projects in and around the crew’s home base of Boston. If you live near one of these selected cities, submit your questions at www.thisoldhouse/askaquestion, and you just might see the Ask This Old House trailer pull into your driveway.

“Ask This Old House travels across the country to help perplexed homeowners tackle everyday home repair problems,” says producer Chris Wolfe. “Our crew not only solves problems, but we also teach homeowners how to tackle future projects themselves.”

Also back by popular demand this season, Ask This Old House host Kevin O’Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and landscape contractor Roger Cook seek out interactive projects for the whole family. From tips on planting a vegetable garden with your children, to step-by-step instructions on building the perfect tree house, watch as the crew dedicates an entire episode to kid-friendly family activities.

The experts will visit Nashville, TN, June 16-18, Indianapolis, IN, July 7-10, Charleston, SC, September 10-12, Hartford, CT, September 24-25, Chicago, IL, October 13-14, Salt Lake City, UT, October 21-24, and San Diego, CA, November 12-14 (production dates subject to change). Even if your project is not chosen as a House call this season, your general question could still be answered on the television program, in This Old House magazine, or online at www.thisoldhouse.com.

Ask This Old House is produced by This Old House Productions, Inc., for This Old House Ventures, Inc., and presented on PBS by WGBH Boston. Senior producer and director is David Vos, and producer is Chris Wolfe. Funding is provided by Bellawood, GMC, and The Home Depot.
