Tennessee broker uses the Lowe’s Program for Realtors to offer his clients a little bit of thanks at closing

RISMEDIA, July 6, 2009-Some people offer calendars or a plant at closing time, but Lenoir City, Tennessee-based Doug Davis offers something much more valuable and useful to his clients-a Lowe’s gift card, which he purchases with the 5% discount he receives for being a member of the Lowe’s Program for REALTORS (this offer is only available through lowesrealtorbenefits.com; it is not currently available in stores).

The Lowe’s gift cards are “convenient for me to buy and easy for all of my clients to use,” according to Davis, principal broker for Century 21 The Real Estate Place. “That’s why they like them so much.”

Besides the gift card discount, the Lowe’s Program for Realtors includes free, customized direct mail and e-mail pieces with 10% off coupons, helpful tips, e-mails and videos from HGTV, and Inside Out, a personalized, monthly e-newsletter with information on buying, selling and moving tips. And, through Lowe’s partnership with HGTV, Realtors can send out customizable e-mails inviting clients to view the latest videos from HGTV and download exclusive savings from Lowe’s

What’s more, Lowe’s is now offering its Program for Realtors’ members the ability to send their clients Lowe’s coupons directly to their e-mail inbox. They can choose from either a buyer e-mail or a seller e-mail template. Just like the already available direct mail option, the e-coupons are personalized with the Realtor’s photo, logo and contact information as well as a 10% off coupon to Lowe’s. Plus, they are also available in either English or Spanish.

The gift cards are very well received, according to Davis, a three-year member of the program. And why not-Davis’ clients can use them for just about anything they want, whether they’re looking to buy curtains, repaint a room or redesign the patio.

“The 5% discount I receive on the Lowe’s gift cards is a great incentive to use them as closing gifts,” explains Davis. “My clients love them; I have a lot of builder-clients as well so the gift cards are of course something they can always use.”

The Lowe’s Program for Realtors is free for Realtors and offers personal marketing tools from Lowe’s and the National Association of REALTORS®. To schedule a presentation about the Lowe’s REALTOR® Benefits program with one of Lowe’s specialists please call 888-913-6060.
