John Finn

A fifth-generation real estate professional with nearly 50 years of experience, John Finn continues to break new ground in Virginia’s real estate landscape. In 2025, Finn spearheaded the strategic acquisition of River City Blues Realty, further expanding United Real Estate Richmond’s footprint as the largest Black-owned real estate firm in the Commonwealth.

His leadership was recognized by the Richmond Association of Realtors®, which named him the 2025 Civic Leader of the Year. Beyond brokerage operations, Finn deepened his commitment to housing equity through his appointment to the Board of Trustees for the Maggie L. Walker Community Land Trust, where he advocates for permanent affordable housing in Central Virginia.

Innovation remains a cornerstone of Finn’s career; in 2025, he authored and released “The C.H.I.E.F.S. Formula,” a holistic white paper providing real estate professionals with a structured framework for goal setting across career, health, income, education, family and spirituality. A vocal advocate for diversity, Finn was featured in national industry publications for his work in DEI, famously stating, “If excellence is your goal, then diversity will be the byproduct.”
