Prudential Network Realty Supporting Wreaths across America Campaign for Veterans

Prudential Network Realty is launching a local effort to support “Wreaths Across America,” a national campaign designed to honor fallen veterans. According to the company, the program collects donations to purchase commemorative wreaths, which will be placed on the headstones of veterans buried at the national cemeteries and other locations across the country. Simultaneous wreath-laying ceremonies will be held at more than 750 locations around the world on Saturday, Dec. 15, including the national cemeteries in Jacksonville and St. Augustine.

“It is a great honor to be a part of this national effort to place a holiday wreath on every veteran’s head stone,” said Prudential Network Realty Broker/Manager Ann King of the company’s St. Augustine office, who initiated the company’s participation in the campaign. “We are proud to support this deserving program.”

Prudential Network Realty is accepting donations or sponsorships to support the purchase of additional wreaths. The cost is $15 for each wreath. The deadline to donate or purchase a sponsorship is August 1. Contact Ann King at (904) 471-6906 for more information.

“We believe in the American dream, and it is our privilege to be a part of a campaign that acknowledges those who sacrificed so much to protect our freedom,” said Christy Budnick, executive vice president of residential real estate, Prudential Network Realty. “We appreciate the opportunity to support this program and its efforts to remember and honor veterans in Northeast Florida and across the country.”

The wreath-laying program began in 1992 when a wreath company placed wreaths on the headstones at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. Interest in the program grew and the company founded Wreaths Across America, which is expected to distribute more than 400,000 wreaths nationwide in this year’s campaign.
