Bergen County real estate is rebounding and local industry leaders are working together to energize the recovery. Major industry players included: Allan Dalton, one of the National Association of REALTORS® 25 most influential thought leaders and Past President of REALTOR.com; Trisha Ocona Francis, Industry Educator and Huffington Post Guest Real Estate Blogger; Tanya Reu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Realogy Corporation; Maggie Peters, Director of Bergen County Economic Development; Fort Lee Council Members: Joseph Cervieri ,Ila Kasofsky, and Harvey Sohmer; and New Jersey Delaware Council of Residential Specialists Chapter President, Becky Boomsma; Steve P. Ross, Esq; along with leaders in the Bergen County mortgage, legal and financial industries.

EBCBOR Immediate Past President, Eileen O’Driscoll says, “EBCBOR has fostered relationships with other associations and industry leaders to reinforce the reemerging housing market.” She continues, “Meet the Players was a unique opportunity to partner with a diverse group of industry professionals to demonstrate our commitment to the local real estate market as a key factor in New Jersey’s economic recovery.”

Demonstrating EBCBOR’s commitment to diversity, invited guests from the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) collaborated on global real estate investment opportunities.

As one of the first networks in New Jersey, The Bergen County YPN was launched by the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® (EBCBOR) in 2010 to help new REALTORS® cultivate strong industry relationships and expand their expertise. The EBCBOR Professional Development Committee develops a comprehensive annual calendar of educational classes, seminars and special events to enhance the productivity of REALTOR® members.

The Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® (EBCBOR), chartered in 1923, is a not-for-profit trade organization that serves more than 3,000 REALTOR® members in Bergen County, N.J.
