Former Century 21 President and CEO, Tom Kunz, Joins Engel & Völkers

Recently, Engel & Völkers announced that Tom Kunz, former President and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC has joined the global real estate brand as the newest addition to its market development team dedicated to expanding its presence in select U.S. markets. As Senior Vice President Market Development, Western Region, Kunz will lead in the development efforts in markets within the U.S. western states, meeting with top brokerages to enhance their service offerings and extend their reach to attract international buyers to their markets.

Kunz joined Realogy in 1982 and became President and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC in 2004. As head of Century 21, he oversaw the operation of over 7,700 Century 21 offices worldwide. He led, managed and enhanced nearly all aspects of the brokerage sales, licensing and management operations for the brand and helped develop tools used for training in all Realogy Corporation real estate companies. He has also been invited to speak at national events and conferences to share his industry expertise and insights, and is the author of the book “Community & Business Partnerships.”

“I’ve always believed that the current licensing model in real estate could go far beyond brand recognition and become more focused on brand substance,” says Kunz, “Other brands outside of real estate have demonstrated that when the name and logo are backed by high quality service and products that are consistent throughout the entire network the entire industry can change as a result. Engel & Völkers has the core values, corporate culture, and a passion shared by everyone who represents the brand. They are unlike any other real estate brand I’ve seen and I am extremely fortunate to help bring this standard to more U.S. markets.”

As part of Engel & Völkers’ U.S. Market Development team, Kunz joins Tim Jones, Senior Vice President Western Region, previously of Engel & Völkers California; Lisa Mackey, Senior Vice President Eastern Region and formerly of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates and; Matthew M. Hostetler, Senior Vice President, Eastern Region and formerly of Coldwell Banker.
