hawaiiRISMEDIA, June 15, 2013–The AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America) held a Global Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 21-23, 2013 to showcase the U.S. and Asia Real Estate and Investment prospects. President and CEO of Real Living Lifestyles, Steve Rodgers, attended the Summit to learn more about the Asian market and how his brokerage can maximize the potential of Asian buyers and sellers in America.

The AREAA provides homeownership for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the United States. The conference brought people from all around the world to create a deeper understanding of how to cross the border in the real estate business driven by Asian & Canadian investors. This is a market that is growing by leaps and bounds.

“The global economy is more connected today than ever before and real estate is no different. To succeed in the real estate business now and in the future, we all need to build personal and business connections that extend beyond U.S. borders and to all corners of the globe,” commented Jim Park, National Chair & Tanya Rea, Global summit Planning Chair.

Included at the Global Summit were only the best speakers such as, Ian MacLeod from Luxuryhomes.com, who spoke on Lifestyles of the Rich & Asian. Other speakers included Brad Inman, founder of Inman News, who showed the crowd where the future of real estate is climbing, while educating everyone on how to retool their skills in order to fluctuate with the current market. Janet Branton from NAR (National Associations of Realtors) was a moderator in one of the breakout session about Who’s Buying Where? There were many representatives from AREAA.

hawaii 2Leo Attias and John Wong from AREAA spoke on Doing Business in Asia & Around the World. Some of the other sessions included: Leading Cities for International Buyers, The Secret to Luxury Listings, Investing & Purchasing Distress Assets, and Global Networking.

It was three days of deepening relationships with real estate leaders from across the globe. Rubbing elbows with top global investors, government officials and major financial institutions. Everyone who was someone attended.

“The caliber of the professionals was very impressive. These were noted global leaders who I was honored to learn from, network with and share our best ideas,” Real Living Lifestyles’ President/CEO Steve Rodgers commented. “The global world is becoming more local every day and now I know even more ways to adapt these strategies to help our agents and clients here locally and those coming abroad. Global reach, local touch that is more real every day.”

Those interested in being a part of building relationships beyond the U.S. borders can become a member of AREAA. Being a member allows you to network at local and national events, get exclusive discounts for seminars and events, referral opportunities from the areaa.org member and default service directories, and so much more. Becoming a part of AREAA means you support the mission of increasing sustainable homeownership in the Asian community.
