RISMEDIA, December 3, 2013–At GARDNER REALTORS, it’s been our continuing mission for 70 years to make home dreams come true. It’s with that in mind that we are teaming up with the New Orleans Mission to assist them in expanding the Women’s Center from 16 beds to 38 beds, and to add a full-time therapist, which will provide a safe place exclusively for women within its current facility on Baronne Street in Central City.
We are committed to launching the fundraising efforts to buy an adjacent property to expand the women’s facility and bring in more women off the streets. We have set the goal to raise $300,000 and already have $110,000 in the bucket…but we need your help to make it to the finish line! Our Announcement and Call to Action
At the “A New Life” luncheon, hosted by New Orleans Mission on November 5, Crystal Gertrude Gardner-Phillips shared with over 250 local members of the community and businesses the story of Gertrude Gardner, founder of GARDNER REALTORS, who’s passion for loving others and giving back, led her to start what would become one of the most successful real estate companies in the world, GARDNER REALTORS, and how her legacy of giving back to our communities carries on within the GARDNER Real Estate Family, 70 years later.
Crystal went on the say, “We encourage you to ask yourselves what we were called to ask ourselves… ‘If not us, then who?… and if not now, then when?’ There simply is no ‘they’ in this world. It’s us who God can use to make a difference.
