The Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® (MBOR) formerly based in Rutherford will join forces with the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® (EBCBOR) paving the way for the creation of the third-largest REALTOR® association in N.J. The combined association, under the name Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® Inc., will have more than 3,300 members and operate from EBCBOR’S new 6,500 sq. ft. facility at Skyline 411, Route 17 South in Hasbrouck Heights.

2014 Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® President Nancy Lastra says, “This unification creates an association that delivers maximum value for our members. The newly merged association will act as a catalyst to help all our members work better and become more productive.”

Adding to the wide variety of expertise, qualifications and skills currently exemplified by the governing body of EBCBOR, Scott Bixler, President Elect of the Meadowlands Board of REALTORS®, will join the Board of Directors in 2015 to lead the new Association as a single-source provider for all things real estate.

“I have always been a proponent of consolidation in business,” said EBCBOR 2014 President Bowen Pak. “By combining the assets of both Associations and pooling resources, tools and expertise, we will be better able to provide improved services and support, thus elevating the value of local REALTORS® to consumers throughout Bergen and Hudson Counties”.

The new geographical area encompassed by EBCBOR will now include the municipalities of Wallington, Woodridge, Carlstadt, East Rutherford, Rutherford, Lyndhurst, North Arlington, Kearny and Harrison in addition to the 26 towns already in EBCBOR’S territory.

“This strategic combination creates a stronger and more efficient organization that brings the most innovative products, services and solutions to provide a superior member experience for all REALTOR® professionals, said EBCBOR Chief Executive Officer Laura Rubinfeld,   “The merger lays the foundation for future growth and stability in the years ahead creating an Association that delivers maximum value for our members”.

The mission of the EBCBOR is to provide resources, political advocacy and education to ensure the continued success of our members.  EBCBOR’S guiding philosophy is to invest in enhancing the professionalism of REALTORS®.

EBCBOR currently offers multiple seminars and workshops monthly, focusing on the latest advances in the real estate industry including technology, law, best practices, global marketing strategies and trends.

“This exciting milestone in the history of our 91-year-old association will bolster our footprint and enhance our presence,” Rubinfeld explained. “The merger has had an important impact on EBCBOR’S local government affairs outreach. One of the most significant benefits is the added influence a larger member organization will gain in Northern N.J.,”  she continued, “when we talk with elected and appointed officials, the business community and the media we now will be speaking on behalf of more than 3,300 REALTORS® and their clients.”
