ForRent.com® Releases Neighborhoods Filtering Feature and a First-to-Market Schools Feature for More Efficient Searching

ForRent.com®, a leading online apartment search destination, inspires renters to discover their next apartment, loft, townhouse, or condo by allowing property seekers to narrow down their choices by city, price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, etc., through detailed searches. Revealing an innovative Neighborhoods Search Filter and first-to-market with the Schools Search Filter, ForRent.com allows prospective apartment renters to quickly set their search parameters for a specific neighborhood and/or school, providing an even more enjoyable and relevant experience.

ForRent.com is the first internet listing service to provide apartment shoppers with the ability to filter by individual schools based on verified public School Attendance Zones. Additionally, shoppers often already know the location in which they’d like to live before they even start looking. With ForRent.com’s Neighborhoods Search Filter, apartment renters can now not only refine their search based on desired neighborhoods, but omit the areas outside of their preference zone for faster, more focused apartment searching.

The ability to further refine by a neighborhood or specific school results in a much more focused set of options for renters, making the time spent on the apartment hunt more effective. Apartment shoppers can view a list of neighborhoods and schools in the search section on the left hand side of the search engine results page. Once the user has performed a search with his or her preferred city, state or zip code, the Schools tab will then populate alphabetically, complete with pertinent school data for that location. These enhancements are part of a broader focus on search engine optimization that is continually expanding to assist apartment shoppers on ForRent.com.

For example, ForRent.com recently released its innovative Mobile App for prospective renters. Entirely map-based, the app lets users save locations of interest for later viewing and presents them with a commute time calculator and a pet-friendly filter, among other convenient tools.

“For Rent Media Solutions™ (FRMS), always striving to improve the user experience, is excited to better serve apartment seekers with these new features,” said Terry Slattery, president of For Rent Media Solutions and Homes.com®. “School zone options play an important role in the home search process for many families. The integration of the Neighborhood and Schools Search Filter into the ForRent.com website makes it easier for people to search for homes based on what is most important to them, such as education. As for our customers, these features ultimately create a platform for increased consumer engagement, driving more traffic and leads.”
