Brian Donnellan, president & CEO of Bright MLS, worked to provide consistency after the residential real estate market shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Donnellan knew that it would be necessary to use technology and quickly change rules and regulations to keep the real estate market in the Mid-Atlantic region, where Bright MLS operates, from grinding to a halt.

To that end, Donnellan and his team launched the Bright MLS Bright Steps initiative. The first and most comprehensive industry response program introduced by an MLS, Bright Steps consists of a suite of solutions designed to support every aspect of subscribers’ business.

The measures initiated by Bright Steps helped the marketplace remain liquid in the early months of the pandemic, setting the stage for a strong recovery.
