Liz Uribe, a REALTOR® at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wine Country Group in Sonoma County, Calif., is a well-known agent and pillar in her community, having done selfless work for The Living Room.

Uribe is on the board of directors of The Living Room, a nonprofit group that welcomes homeless and at-risk women and their children in Sonoma County into a safe and comfortable environment during the day when shelters are closed. Information on temporary supportive social services is made available to them and their children, and they’re offered food and other essentials, as well as a place to learn new skills and move toward independence and self-sufficiency. Many of the women have fled domestic violence, suffer from substance abuse or mental illness, or have suddenly found themselves without homes due to foreclosure, loss of jobs or major medical problems. Through the charity group, Uribe has helped change lives by raising money and purchasing homes­ (forfeiting her commission) for the homeless women and children in the community to live in.

Uribe has over 30 years in the real estate industry, specializing in residential and investment property. She works hard for her clients and acts as their advocate during the entire real estate transaction, as she recognizes it’s one of the most important decisions a person makes. Her expertise includes marketing, sales preparation and contract negotiation, as well as providing resources for financial, property inspection and construction needs.
