Mike Tezak is broker/owner and team leader for Realty Executives Premier and Team Tezak. He leads a team of over 60 agents in Valparaiso/Crown Point, Ind., and oversees a sales team that has been ranked in the Top 5 of Northwest Indiana for over 15 years. Agents gravitate to the brokerage because of its strong ties to other companies in the community, which enhances agents’ business models and ability to reach out to consumers.
Tezak began his real estate career in 2001, and within two years became a top-producing agent. He began building Team Tezak in 2004, and since 2005 they have produced an average of $20 million per year in sales. In 2008, Tezak opened a Realty Executives International franchise location in Valparaiso with six agents. The office has grown to 62 agents today and is now No. 1 in the local market. He later opened two additional offices.
While he was growing his real estate business, Tezak also studied trades and building processes and built or financed several homes in the community. He and his partners created a development company, Stonebridge, that is in the process of developing a residential community in Valparaiso. Tezak believes it is important to focus on the present.
