LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance

Elevating connections and conversations around LGBTQ+ issues is not just Ryan Weyandt’s job, it is the passion that drives him every day to continue shaping the conversation around equity, fair housing and representation in the real estate industry. 

In 2021 the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance swelled its ranks to over 1,600 members, with CEO Weyandt achieving multiple other strategic goals amid the pandemic uncertainties, including hosting a national symposium, creating a homebuyer’s guide and launching a credentialing program for LGBTQ+ allies. These achievements represented important steps for bridging gaps in homeownership for the LGBTQ+ community and combatting discrimination in the industry, according to Weyandt, as the “resilience and tenacity of the entire team at the Alliance” has helped push the work forward. 

A special Policy Summit hosted in 2021 also began identifying structural ways to create more inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community in the industry, and partnerships with major firms and industry leaders proved that Weyandt has the Alliance set up for even more success.
