Moss Real Estate Group Shoes Clients Carbon Courtesy’

June 23, 2007
Reading Time: 1 min read

RISMEDIA, June 20, 2007-As New York businesses go green to compete for the limelight, Moss Real Estate Group seeks out innovative business practices to communicate the company’s “true shade of green.”

Clients of Moss are now offered more than top-notch real estate services, according to the company. They’re offered a chance to lessen their environmental footprints. Out of “Carbon Courtesy,” Moss offsets the carbon emissions for an entire year of buyers and sellers who complete a transaction. Moss hopes to demonstrate the simplicity of offsetting carbon emissions to their clients through this new client benefit.

Each client who carries out a transaction with Moss is walked through the process of calculating his or her carbon. Then Moss picks up the tab for the first year. If, after a year, their clients wish to continue the process, Moss has set it up so it can be easily renewed.

“Real estate brokers and agents are the conduits between consumers and what is usually the single largest purchase of their lives: a home. This purchase not only requires a vast amount of natural resources to produce, but it also requires a great deal of natural resources to maintain,” said Chris Moss, founder of Moss Real Estate Group. “Our firm recognizes that real estate brokers and agents have an opportunity, and one might even say a responsibility, to make consumers aware of simple ways they can help our environment.”
