Two More Builders Select RealtyBid.com to Speed Up New Home Sales

RISMEDIA, July 6, 2007—Spinnaker Homes of Nevada and David Weekley Homes of Florida have selected RealtyBid.com’s online auction platform to expedite the sale of their new home inventories. The RealtyBid.com auction of 22 Spinnaker Homes properties within the Spinnaker Village III community in Las Vegas will begin July 4 and end July 25.

David Weekley Homes will auction 18 new homes within three different communities in the Tampa, Florida, area July 18 through August 8. RealtyBid.com executed a similar builder event in the Palm Springs, California, area for Lennar Homes of California in April with great success.

The decision by these builders to join forces with RealtyBid.com comes as home builders across the country are re-evaluating their sales approaches to combat the slowing real estate market. New home sales fell in May for the fourth time in five months, and home prices slid in April for the 17th month in a row.

Tony Isbell, RealtyBid.com CEO/president said, “The desire of these builders to utilize RealtyBid.com shows they are innovators; they understand that non-traditional strategies are needed to combat the market’s current downturn. We’ve been contacted by more than a dozen builders since our Lennar Homes of California event; we believe that interest will continue to grow as builders elect to reduce their standing inventory.”

 Steve Pate, division president with David Weekley Homes in Tampa, said, “Integrating online marketing and sales into our overall marketing plan is a high priority goal of our company.  Partnering with a burgeoning Internet powerhouse like RealtyBid.com is a step toward embracing that goal.”
