Home Warranty of America, Inc. Goes Pink for October

October 12, 2007
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Oct. 15, 2007-HWA staff wore pink on Friday as a show of support and solidarity in the fight against breast cancer and to solicit increased donations for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people and ensure quality care for everyone, while energizing science to find the cures.

“Our Web site has even gone extremely pink too, and we’ll donate a portion of our October sales directly to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization to help in the fight to eliminate breast cancer. I believe we can find the cure very soon, and I’m committed to it as my own mother is now a 20-year survivor,” said David Sobel, V.P. of Sales, Home Warranty of America, Inc.TM.

HWA’s TM passion for pink was ignited by a staff member, Cheryl Argianas, who walks for the Cure in support of a family member fighting breast cancer.

“I really just wanted to raise awareness at HWA, but everyone wanted to do more, so here we are all pink and starting, what we hope is a real excitement in the real estate industry to join in by donating to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or helping in any way they can,” said Argianas, a member of the HWA Finance Department.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure celebrates their 25th anniversary this year and has plans to invest $1 billion in breast cancer research and community health and education programs in the next 10 years. Put your money where the Cure is.
