RISMEDIA, June 13, 2013 – Prudential Network Realty sales professionals Dennis and Kathy Lang, a husband and wife team from the company’s Beaches office in Atlantic Beach, recently participated in The Art of Yoga at the J. Johnson Gallery in Jacksonville Beach. The charity event raised more than $600 to benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville’s Special Needs Tours.

They use their yoga talent and expertise to support others and benefit the community at large in a very positive way.”
With a backdrop of paintings by J. Johnson Gallery’s featured artist Emilio Perez and accompanied by Jacksonville musician Arvid Smith, the Langs led a multi-level yoga class, integrating a graceful blend of balanced energy, awareness and alignment. The Langs are certified instructors of Yin and Vinyasa Flow Yoga and have practiced yoga for more than 10 years. They both completed their RYT 200-hour and 500-hour certifications at Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. They teach numerous classes and workshops in Northeast Florida, including charity-based practices, and bring a unique perspective to yoga instruction by co-teaching. Both the Langs and Smith were part of J. Johnson Gallery’s similar Art of Movement event last summer, which raised nearly $1,300 for the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens.
The Langs are also top producing agents at Prudential Network Realty and recipients of both the Prudential’s prestigious Honor Society and TeamBuilder awards. The Langs believe yoga is about relationships. The practice of yoga inspires their collective energy, creativity and efforts to provide excellent service to their real estate customers.

The Art of Yoga supported MOCA Jacksonville’s Special Needs Tours. MOCA Jacksonville carefully customizes guided tours, programs and art workshops to meet the special needs of individuals and groups of all ages, while offering tactile bags for the visually impaired, iPods for sound amplification, sign language interpretation for all programs and tours, and adaptive materials for art projects. The Art of Yoga donation will help MOCA Jacksonville provide accessible and appropriate entry points into contemporary artwork and encourage participants of all abilities to engage in meaningful dialogues within the museum.
