The Ultimate Business Opportunity

2. Can we be passionate about our roles as real estate agents? My first response to this question is a strong statement: If you are not passionate about real estate and helping families, then you should not be in the business! Passion drives us to do and be better; it is at the center of our core motivating values. If you get up every day with fire in your belly and the motivation to make a difference, then real estate may be your calling.

3. Is it financially rewarding without undue risk? Absolutely! I am humbled by the success of the many people I have had the opportunity to coach over the years. They have taught me much about the real opportunities that exist if we apply ourselves, have focus and work smart. In working with my new partner, Bob Corcoran, I have learned that operational excellence breeds a level of success out of which legends are made. At our recent CEO BootCamp, I was inspired at the number of agents making over $1 million a year, while having more free time than many business owners who only dream of that level of income.

4. Is there a “razor blade factor”? This is one of the most appealing aspects of real estate; the repeat and referral business that can be achieved if you do a few things well. Be exceptional, operate with complete integrity, and keep in touch after the transaction. By following this formula the “razor blade factor” will generate enormous recurring income opportunities.

5. Is it fun? This one is entirely up to you. If you get up each day with a love for what you do and enjoy the opportunity you have to serve, then this business can not only be fun, but very rewarding. I love the interaction with other agents, I love the negotiations, and I love the close. It’s a blast!

The bottom line is that real estate meets all of the criteria I have used over the years to define the Ultimate Business Opportunity. There is a proven road map to success and if you have talent, work ethic and the desire to serve, then you can find great personal and financial wealth in real estate. My advice to you is: Love what you do, make it fun, and let’s get to work!
