Opening Up New Opportunities One Referral at a Time

referral_handshakeDana Phillips, a real estate professional with Phillips & Associates in San Antonio, Texas, isn’t shy about revealing her type-A personality.

So when a client asks for her best referral to an out-of-state REALTOR®, Phillips needs to be sure she’s handing off her valued client to an A+ colleague—no matter where the client wants to settle.

According to Phillips, she rarely has to worry about any client lacking for TLC, as long as she’s placing them in the ReferralExchange, the industry’s premier real estate referral service.

ReferralExchange—a sister company of consumer-focused AgentMachine enables real estate agents to refer clients and leads outside of their preferred price point, area, or property type into a nationwide network of 12,500, hand-selected REALTORs from large and boutique brokerages.  With its combination of technology and personal customer service, ReferralExchange eliminates the time and aggravation surrounding the outbound real estate referral process and helps agents create new referral income from leads they choose not to work.

Phillips leans on ReferralExchange to handle the entire process.  First, she inputs her client leads into the ReferralExchange system, where they are matched with three qualified agents who can best meet their specific needs.  Second, ReferralExchange handles the referral agreements, paperwork, tracking and follow-up. And last but not least, ReferralExchange guarantees that she gets paid—once the deal closes, Phillips receives 25 percent of the referred-side commission, as does any agent who closes a deal with ReferralExchange.

Before ReferralExchange, however, it was a different story.

“The only time I ever used a referral system before was with a large national company that had an in-house referral network,” says Phillips.  “When I came to Phillips & Associates, it was a disadvantage to not know and have qualified referrals” who went on to say that before ReferralExchange came into the picture, she felt like a piece of her customer service was missing.

When it comes to finding quality agents in other states, Phillips noted that the process is a challenge at best.

“If I’m picking up the phone and cold calling, I’m not sure of the quality or caliber of the agent on the other side, or if I’ll ever get paid,” says Phillips. “But with ReferralExchange, I don’t have to worry about following up on payments from referrals.  They do everything for me.”

Serving the San Antonio region from her boutique family firm with one office and 10 agents, Phillips says that she and her team are constantly striving to accommodate all potential clients. As the market continues to heat up, ReferralExchange is an integral piece of the puzzle.

“By being a member of the ReferralExchange network, I can help connect clients with quality agents in other markets across the country,” says Phillips, “in addition to helping colleagues when their clients move to the San Antonio region.”

She loves how easy the entire process is.

“It takes about two minutes to enter my client’s information and then I’m done,” says Phillips. “So far, I’ve had no issues arise.”

Not only does utilizing the ReferralExchange simplify the entire process, it also goes a long way toward making agents well-rounded. “I think there are thousands of agents who don’t work for big-box companies providing them with qualified global referrals,” says Phillips, “so to have these qualified extensions of your company you can depend on in the ReferralExchange network serves to  make you a more complete agent.”

For Phillips, membership in ReferralExchange has been nothing but positive from the beginning.

“The callback to my referred client is almost immediate and the client knows they’re getting experienced agents in the market to where they’re moving,” Phillips says. “For me, it’s peace of mind to get a good REALTOR® for a good client.”

“If an agent isn’t a member of ReferralExchange, they’re missing out on income and a strong referral source for all their clients,” added Phillips.

“If a client needs a top qualified referral today, I want to have it for them in a matter of minutes,” concluded Phillips. ReferralExchange makes it that easy.”
