EBCBOR’S Bergen County YPN Honors Founding Members at 5th Anniversary Celebration

The next generation of Bergen County real estate is here. Over 125 Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® (EBCBOR) members, Industry professionals and guests recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of The Bergen County Young Professionals Network (YPN) at the Lazzoni Showroom in Paramus. In April 2010, a group of young, career-minded, EBCBOR real estate professionals who wanted to stay abreast of the latest tools, and business resources launched the Bergen County YPN. Today this is the largest YPN chapter in Northern NJ.

As one of the first YPN chapters chartered in New Jersey, the Bergen County YPN was organized by Michael Oppler of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty; Jorge Ledesma of RE/MAX Quality Homes; and Allegra House of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. They were each honored at the Anniversary celebration for their dedication and service. Currently all three founding members hold positions on the EBCBOR Board of Directors.

The mission of the Bergen County YPN is to help new REALTORS® foster strong industry relationships and expand their expertise. Additionally, the network facilitates opportunities for involvement in local Association leadership through networking and educational events.

EBCBOR President-Elect, Jorge Ledesma says, “It is important to recognize young professionals as the future of the real estate industry. The Bergen County YPN provides new REALTORS® in our area with modern ways to propel their careers. The YPN events help REALTORS® enhance their business knowledge and network.”

Earlier this month, the Bergen County YPN launched their official website as a resource for new real estate agents to use in the early stages of their career development. A core component of the new website is the REALTOR® Tools section. The expert articles, videos and guides in this area were compiled to assist agents in growing their industry knowledge and skill set.

Partnering with Realtor.com®, The Bergen County YPN also hosts training sessions that teach agent how to use the “Agent Success Kit” effectively for their business growth. The Realtor.com® “Agent Success Kit” offers features such as business goal setting, open house presentations and free technology webinars that help prepare an agent for the transaction.
