Weichert, Realtors has announced that Kara Koonce has been named regional president of the Capital Region. In this role, Koonce will be responsible for the management and growth of 12 Weichert offices located in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

“I am thrilled to welcome Kara to the leadership team at Weichert,” said Joe McDonald, president of Residential Sales and Real Estate Services for Weichert, Realtors. “Kara is a seasoned leader who understands that business growth and productivity are the result of many elements working together cohesively, including sales strategy, brand awareness and strong client relationships. Under Kara’s guidance, I am confident the Capital Region is well-positioned for both immediate success and long-term growth.”

Koonce has 18 years of professional real estate experience, as noted in a release. She began her career as a sales associate with Long and Foster before joining Century 21 Redwood Realty in 2011, where she held several positions. As senior vice president of Field Operations, Koonce managed and led a high-performing team of professionals, overseeing many aspects of company real estate operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and vision while driving growth, profitability and market expansion.

“I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to Weichert and its talented team of sales associates,” Koonce said. “There are abundant opportunities for growth in the Capital Region. Weichert’s dynamic new Bright ChoiceSM branding and The Power of YellowSM Customer Experience are driving engagement and delivering the message that we have everything customers need for a seamless real estate experience.”
