Weichert, Realtors has announced that Kara Koonce has been named regional president of the Capital Region. In this role, Koonce will be responsible for the management and growth of 12 Weichert offices located in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Koonce has 18 years of professional real estate experience, as noted in a release. She began her career as a sales associate with Long and Foster before joining Century 21 Redwood Realty in 2011, where she held several positions. As senior vice president of Field Operations, Koonce managed and led a high-performing team of professionals, overseeing many aspects of company real estate operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and vision while driving growth, profitability and market expansion.
