RISMEDIA, July 26, 2007– ZipRealty, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZIPR) has announced that Gary A. Wetsel was elected to the Board of Directors at the May 2007 annual shareholders meeting. Wetsel will serve as the Chair of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee.
Wetsel is currently an independent consultant. He previously served as executive vice president, finance, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Aspect Communications Corporation, a provider of enterprise customer contact solutions.
He has held senior executive management positions with several other high-tech companies, including vice president and chief financial officer of Zhone Technologies, Inc., president and chief executive officer of WarpSpeed Communications Corp., executive vice president and chief operating officer of Wyse Technology, Inc., and president and chief executive officer of Borland International, Inc. Wetsel previously served on the board of directors and chaired the audit committee of LookSmart Ltd. and served on the board of directors and audit committee of Blue Martini Software, Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bentley College.
