Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate Expands with New Offices

RISMEDIA, Sept. 21, 2007-Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate has announced a major expansion with plans to add two new offices on the northwest side of Chicago and one in Schaumburg.

Doug Ayers, president of Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate announced the new locations and leadership and noted that the expansion is a continuation of the company’s steady growth pattern. “We have added six new locations in the city and suburbs already this year and plan for continued growth throughout Chicagoland in the coming months.”

Ayers announced that a new Koenig & Strey GMAC office will open in Schaumburg during the fourth quarter of 2007 to serve the dynamic northwestern suburban market including Schaumburg, Streamwood, Bartlett, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park, South Barrington, Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights and Palatine, noting that “The addition of this office enables us to better serve our rapidly growing suburban client base.”Megan Tish has been named branch executive for the office. Terry Wilkowski, senior vice president and western regional manager of Koenig & Strey GMAC said “We are very pleased to have Megan Tish as the leader of this office. Her drive and successful track record of growing offices and market share will be a tremendous asset to the company and the local marketplace.” The Schaumburg office will be located at 2570 N. Schaumburg. The office is expected to open in November 2007, with a temporary location at 2300 N. Barrington Road, Suite 400 in Hoffman Estates.

Ayers also announced the acquisition of O’Grady Realty & Builders, Inc, fulfilling a long-time goal to have a presence on the northwest side of the city.

“We have tremendous respect for the O’Grady Realty group and are pleased that agents of this caliber will be a part of Koenig & Strey GMAC.”

The company also plans to open a new state-of-the-art office in Edgebrook in January of 2008, further strengthening its presence in the area and serving all of the communities on the northwest side including Edgebrook, Sauganash, Edison Park, Portage Park, Jefferson Park, Norwood Park, Albany Park, Lincolnwood, Park Ridge, Skokie, Niles and more. Richard Murawski and Diane Glass have joined Koenig & Strey GMAC to lead the O’Grady office as well as the new Northwest Side location. Richard has nearly 30 years of real estate experience including 20 years as a managing broker.

He is a long time resident of the Edgebrook area. Diane has more than seven years of real estate experience on the northwest side, and specializes in agent training and technology. Murawski expressed enthusiasm for his new role and the new offices, “I am pleased to be associated with the leading full service real estate company in Chicagoland and I am impressed with their commitment to the highest level of service. Koenig & Strey GMAC has 23 residential brokerage offices serving some of the finest communities in Chicago, the North Shore, Lake County, the northwest and western suburbs.

The Schaumburg office will be temporarily located at 2300 N. Barrington Road, Suite 400 in Hoffman Estates, and will open at 2570 N. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg in November 2007; agent inquiries can be made directly to Megan Tish at 847-226-3154.

The O’Grady office of Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate is located at 5617 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, and can be reached at 773-774-4000. The Northwest Side office (Edgebrook location) will be located at the corner of Devon Street and Central Road.
