Prudential Gary Greene Agents Use Education to Boost Success

RISMEDIA, Dec. 28, 2007–With the busy and competitive Katy real estate market to navigate, Prudential Gary Greene Realtors Kellie Shorthose and Pam Kosler have armed themselves with an important tool – the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation.

The designation, which was established by the Education Committee of the National Association of Realtors in the mid-1970s, represents agents who have completed 90 hours of specialized real estate courses on topics dealing with everything from real estate law to marketing and servicing listed properties.

The GRI designation identifies those agents who have attained it as some of the top performers in the nation and those who are up to date on the latest real estate trends and issues. Also, each GRI designee agrees to subscribe to the National Association of Realtors’ Code of Ethics.

Kosler, who has been with the Katy office of Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors for more than three years, embarked on the year-long process of earning the designation to better serve her clients. “My goal is to provide the best service possible, and I felt furthering my education would benefit my clients,” she said. “The training has sharpened my negotiating skills, helping me get my clients more value for their home,” she said.

Shorthose, who has been with Prudential Gary Greene for nearly three years, was eager to earn the GRI designation. “It’s one of the highest designations available in the industry, and I highly recommend it.” A top producer last year and winner of Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors’ Honor Society Award in 2006, Shorthose said the courses have taught her organization and time management and brought her up to speed on new technology. “The GRI has helped me work smarter,” she said. “I’m right where I want to be.”
