RISMEDIA, October 7, 2009—Prudential Financial, Inc. has announced that James Mallozzi has been appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, Inc. Mallozzi will succeed John Van Der Wall, who has decided to retire at the end of the year after 24 years with Prudential.
Mallozzi was most recently senior vice president of the Institutional Solutions Group in Prudential Retirement, Prudential’s retirement services provider. Mallozzi joined Prudential in 2004 and during his career with the company he also served as head of Marketing and Product for Prudential Retirement. He will report to Bernard Winograd, Chief Operating Officer, United States Businesses, Prudential Financial.
“Jim has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities in the retirement businesses and has a proven track record of growing the businesses he has headed,” said Winograd. “Working closely with Earl Lee, president of Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, we expect him to oversee the continued development and growth of our real estate and relocation operations both in the U.S. and abroad.”
