Lamacchia Realty has expanded its presence in Connecticut through the acquisition of Briotti Group, adding two offices in Waterbury and Wolcott and strengthening the brokerage’s footprint in New Haven county.
The merger brings Broker/Owner Stephen Briotti and 24 agents into the Lamacchia network, as the company continues to grow its operations across the state. The Briotti Group will add to Lamacchia Realty’s existing Connecticut offices in Southington and Milford.
“I’m very excited and grateful to have Stephen and all of his wonderful agents now a part of us here at Lamacchia Realty,” said Anthony Lamacchia, broker, founder and CEO of Lamacchia Companies, Inc. “After three and a half years of being in Connecticut, I’m thrilled to have finally found an acquisition with a great company that will help us grow our market share in central Connecticut. I knew Stephen and his agents were the right fit from the very first conversation I ever had with him.”
The Briotti Group, formerly affiliated with Weichert, specializes in single-family homes and income properties and has built a reputation for local market expertise across the Greater Waterbury area, the company notes. The team provides guidance on pricing, transaction management and connecting clients with services such as mortgage financing, insurance and inspections.
Briotti, who obtained his real estate license in 1978, founded his Wolcott office in 1995 after a successful career as a top-producing agent and investor. Over time, he expanded the firm, affiliating with a national franchise and growing to more than 80 against at its peak. Many agents have remained with the brokerage for more than two decades, a release noted.
“After seeing how the real estate business has evolved over the last 30 years, I want simply the best for my agents,” said Briotti. “Aligning our future goals with Lamacchia Realty, a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE), agents will hone their skills and use the proven systems and strategies to sustain growth in their careers.”
“We are thrilled to welcome the Briotti Group to the Lamacchia Realty family. Under Stephen Briotti’s leadership, this team has established a reputation for excellence, strong community ties, and a steadfast commitment to client success—values that align seamlessly with our own,” said Beth Byrd, regional sales manager at Lamacchia Realty. “This partnership not only strengthens our presence in the region, but also enhances our ability to deliver greater resources, broader exposure, and exceptional results for both our agents and the clients we serve.”
Lamacchia Realty entered the Connecticut market in November 2022 with its Southington office, and has since expanded its agent base and market share, including the opening of an office in Milford, the release noted.
The company said operations will continue without disruption for clients and agents during the transition. In the coming months, Lamacchia Realty leadership will work with incoming agents to integrate systems, training and technology resources.
This marks Lamacchia Realty’s 13th acquisition in New England over the past two and a half years, as the company continues to pursue growth opportunities across Connecticut and the broader region.
