RISMEDIA, November 11, 2010—Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC announced the addition of Myrtle Beach area-based real estate firm Elliott Realty to its franchise network. According to the company, the brokerage will now operate as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living under the direction of Rick Elliott, president. The company serves Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Georgetown, Little River, Loris, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island, Surfside Beach and Brunswick County.

“When you meet a broker who wants to hear your vision and not your view, you know you have the foundation of an exciting relationship,” said Sherry Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. “Rick and his team have built exactly the kind of next generation brokerage that we envision will lead this industry toward the future.”

“Throughout our history, we have tried to look ahead of the market and point ourselves toward what we believe is the future of our industry,” said Elliott. “I am impressed with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate’s visionary and trustworthy leadership, every member of whom is focused beyond the current market turmoil and is testing and adopting exciting, new technology. This is the philosophy and spirit that has helped our firm evolve for more than 50 years and the one that will help us stay ahead in the years to come.”

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living traces its origin to 1959, when it was founded by Dick Elliott, who is now a Senator in the South Carolina Legislature and has served in elected office for the past four decades. Rick Elliott joined his father’s firm in 1990, and has continued its culture of technological innovation and excellence in service and marketing. Notably, in the mid-1990’s, when the Internet was still a relatively new form of marketing, Elliott established a robust website to boost the nationwide visibility of his vacation properties. “It was the single biggest factor in our breakout move ahead of a recovering market,” said Elliott.
