RISMEDIA, November 17, 2010—The Home Source, Realtors® announced that they have merged with Prudential Georgia Realty. “We are excited to add such a fine group of professionals to our company,” said Dan Forsman, president and CEO of Prudential Georgia Realty, a member of RISMedia’s Real Estate Information Network®. “Together, we are the clear market leader for the Southern Crescent. The real estate business is changing rapidly and our combined companies will be able to offer significant advantages for our clients.”

Founded over 25 years ago, The Home Source, Realtors has been one of the most successful independent real estate companies on the southside of Atlanta. Today, the company has over 60 real estate agents and offices in Peachtree City and Newnan.

“We have always admired The Home Source, Realtors and the leadership of their parent company, Pathways Communities,” said Forsman. “In the past three years, Prudential Georgia Realty has consistently grown our market share more than any large brokerage. Today, we are #1 in transactions, #1 in buyers and #1 in listings for Metro Atlanta, North Georgia, the Southern Crescent and West Georgia. Our strategy was to build our business around delivering the most compelling value to our clients. Our size and scale allows us to implement innovations at a faster pace than smaller companies. While other companies were forced to cut their costs in recent years, we made significant investments in marketing, technology, training and support resources. The best agents flourish with our advanced capabilities. That is why we are so excited to add the talented agents from The Home Source, Realtors to our team.”

Doug Mitchell, founder and chairman of The Home Source, Realtors and Pathways Communities believes this joining of forces creates a powerful team that will redefine the Fayette, Coweta and Henry County real estate markets.

“We did extensive research on the leadership and capabilities of all the top-tier real estate companies. In considering our options to join forces with other companies, Prudential Georgia Realty became the obvious choice. They have a tremendous edge in marketing, technology, resources and international networks. They also have the largest corporate relocation business in the metro area. That means our agents will have access to more buyers. We also have great respect for their leadership team and look forward to a long-term partnership between Prudential Georgia Realty and Pathways Communities,” said Mitchell. “This merger is about making the best even better. The talented agents from The Home Source, REALTORS® will thrive in this new environment.”
