RISMEDIA, June 27, 2011–Mark Kelaidis has joined Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie Real Estate as a regional leader of the company’s San Francisco region. His role will be to expand the company’s presence in San Francisco.

Kelaidis is a 2nd generation broker and has been immersed in residential real estate since the age of 16. As an agent, he was recognized by NAR as the top 5% for closed nationally. He has managed large offices and small companies for the last 12 years.

“Mark will provide the company with key leadership and guidance in our efforts to grow our presence in San Francisco,” said Frank Richards, Co-CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie. “He has deep experience in growing real estate brokerage offices, and we know our agents will benefit from his mentorship and skill level.”

“This company offers a very strong value proposition to agents and clients through its technological strength, its leadership, and the legacy of the Mason-McDuffie Company,” said Kelaidis. “We are well positioned to become a leader in the San Francisco marketplace.”

Mason-McDuffie has deep roots in San Francisco, opening its first office there in 1986.

An avid outdoorsman and naturalist, McDuffie was a pioneer in the preservation of the state parks, in particular the redwoods, sitting on many boards and creating the State Park Council. He built St. Francis Wood as well as the Claremont Hotel, which still stand today as a testament to his foresight, and are guideposts for architects and city planners everywhere.

Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie Real Estate has three offices in San Francisco.  The company has 40 offices and more than 2,000 agents throughout northern California and Nevada.
