The event was sponsored by Denise Van Tassell, chief operating officer of Alcouer Gardens and held at that location in Ocean, NJ. The event drew members of NJAWBO throughout Monmouth and Ocean County.
The association addresses the needs and challenges faced by the 282,000 female business owners in New Jersey. Through various programs, resources, and educational workshops, the organization not only seeks to accelerate growth and profitability among women-owned businesses, but also to support aspiring female entrepreneurs.
The topic was Diane’s success story in the real estate industry. She discussed her start in real estate at the age of 19 and after years of success in real estate opened her first sales office in Bay Head, NJ in 1986. She explained some of the obstacles and pitfalls of women in business and how she overcame them.
