Howard Hanna Rocks the House at Two-Day Convention

The Cleveland Convention Center was rockin’ as the green and gold poured into town earlier this month for the Howard Hanna convention, the company announced.

More than 3,000 Howard Hanna Real Estate agents and managers from across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, New York and West Virginia attended what many are calling, “the best Howard Hanna convention ever!” Other accolades include “the opening number was Hollywood worthy,” and “the company knows how to take care of agents.”

In a well-received video, many of Cleveland’s finest welcomed the Howard Hanna group: Chef Chris Hodgson, Food Network; Paul Dolan, CEO of the Indians; Connie Schultz of the Plain Dealer; Greg Harris, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO; tennis great Mary Jo Hernandez; Doug Katz, chef/owner of The Katz Club Diner; and Mayor Frank Jackson.

The two-day Hanna convention, which was provided free of charge, included more than 100 sessions with the nation’s top real estate teachers, speakers and motivators, and more than 70 vendors with their latest products, the company reported.

In addition to the educational events, a keynote speech was given by Dave Barry, Pulitzer Prize-winning American author and columnist. He addressed attendees on Wednesday with a hilarious keynote that served as a fitting end to the two-day convention.

Generating an estimated $1 million dollars for the region, the Hanna convention brought in 800 hotel room stays along with restaurant dining, transportation and shopping to downtown Cleveland.

“It was so great to be able to show off our downtown area to everyone from Howard Hanna and we were pleased to have so many sales associates from all over our market areas descend on Northeastern Ohio,” said Howard W. “Hoby” Hanna, IV, President of Howard Hanna Midwest. “We are also incredibly proud that we were able to give back in a big way to the city and the region that has done so much for us as an organization.”

CEO Hoddy Hanna delivered his “state of the company” address and ensured that the American Dream of home ownership is still alive and well. He said that the success of Howard Hanna is solely based on the 5,000 people who make up the Howard Hanna family of companies. Howard Hanna is on track to have a record-breaking year in 2013 with an anticipated $8 billion plus in closed sales volume.
