Whether your primary concern is the environment or your bill, bringing down energy usage is a top priority for consumers, homeowners and just about everyone on the planet. Craig Foley is leading the real estate industry on this front, taking his REthink39 group to educate, promote and do the on-the-ground work to reduce the 39% of US energy consumption attributed to buildings (commercial and residential).

In 2022, this issue could not have been more urgent, and Foley was at the forefront, converting homes, developing educational materials for the National Association of REALTORS® and advocating on land-use causes. Working in the Boston area, with some of the oldest housing stock in the country, Foley is not one to back down from a challenge as he converts his own home to net zero—hoping that many more people will follow his example.
