Nykea Pippion McGriff is the first-ever Black woman president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, as well as NAR’s Federal Political Coordinator for the 1st Congressional District of Illinois. She won CAR’s 2021 Political Advocacy Award.
Pippion McGriff established the Xavier O. Joy Scholarship Fund in honor of her son, a victim of gun violence. In 2021, her team formed a presidential advisory group to work to build a pipeline of diverse leaders for the association and the industry.
“….This year has brought its fair share of trials and tribulations, and I am proud to see how we have continued to rise up continuously to meet the challenges that have come our way. Despite it all, we have found ways to survive mentally, physically and emotionally….,” Pippion McGriff says. “We all have a gift we need to give to the world—so I challenge each of you to get off the sidelines and figure out where you can make an impact.”
