August 24, 2007
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, August 27, 2007-Coldwell Banker United, Realtors has announced the acquisition of Coldwell Banker JME Realty. The combined companies have 77 offices and more than 2,400 agents in six states; connecting Texas to the Carolinas, and spanning the entire Gulf Coast region.

Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, the #1 affiliate in closed transactions within Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, will now offer real estate services in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi, in addition to Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina.

According to two of the real estate industry’s leading publications, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, in 2006 ranked # 8 nationally in transaction sides in both the REAL Trends Top 500 and the RISMedia Power Broker Report. With JME on board, and based on its performance in those same rankings, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors would rank as the #4 company in the nation in transaction sides.

“This new partnership expands our position as a major leader in real estate in the areas we serve and strengthens our company’s prominence nationally, as well as regionally,” said Chairman and CEO Richard Smith of Coldwell Banker United, Realtors. “This is a great strategic fit for our trusted sales associates and valued clients.”

President and COO Jeffrey B. Wheeler said the acquisition was also a natural fit.

“The business principles and values at JME Realty and Coldwell Banker United, Realtors are remarkably the same,” Wheeler said. “President/Broker Joe Endry of JME Realty and Richard Smith share the same leadership qualities, values, corporate vision, and innovation. Both are of strong moral character and exhibit unwavering integrity, with an absolute commitment to customers and complete dedication to people and family. The similarities of our organizations will enable us to help more buyers and sellers with the core real estate services that they expect.”

JME Realty President/Broker Joe Endry, said he is extremely excited about the company becoming a part of the Coldwell Banker United, Realtors. “The combination of these two outstanding firms allows us to offer expanded, high quality services to our entire market place along the northern gulf coast and in the southeast from Texas to the Carolinas,” he said. “Our agents and customers will benefit from the marketing power of the #1 Coldwell Banker affiliate in the world.”
